Albert was born on May 5th, 1830 in St. Luke parish, Chelsea and his baptism took place on June 2nd, 1830 in St. Luke C/E, Chelsea.1 2 Albert's father was Henry WARREN and his mother was Isabella Ann ATKINSON. His maternal grandparents were Thomas ATKINSON and Ann MARTIN. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edmund, Bonomi, Henry , Julia, Leonora, Emily , Fanny and Isabella Dorothea. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 in 1911 in Wandworth R.D. Mar. qua..3 General Notes

On 1881 census RG11/0644; Folio 1414, Pg 35; Surrey, Battersea 7 Vardens Rd. with wife Augusta 50 and two children John Rosier aged 19 and Maude Rosier aged 3. [Rosier is the surname of Albert's brother in law who was the first husband of his sister Emily Martin Warren]

Articled to Owen Jones and worked with him on the construction and decoration of the 1851 and 1861 Exhibitions. He assisted Jones with the illustration of 'The Grammar of Ornament' and 'The Alhambra'. He made the drawings for St. James' Hall, Piccadilly, assisted his father in painting panoramas of the Nile and the Holy Land, and helped his Uncle John Martin with the designs for the Thames Embankment.......he gave lessons in illuminating and floral painting to Princess Alice and Princess Helena. His work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and elsewhere in London between 1860-1870. He was a volunteer in the Artists' Corps [20th Middlesex]. He received grants from the Royal Bounty Fund in 1893,1896 and 1900. Designed book covers and bindings.
Albert's occupation was Artist/ Professor of Landscape at Queen's College London full time.3
