Martin left £10 in his will tothe poor of this parish...Thos Marton was probably a relation ofMatthew Marton, who resided in this parish and was ancestor ofJonathan, the unfortunate burner of York Cathedral, and of Johnthe celebrated Painter and engraver, beside William and otherbrothers".
